Our Story We came to the United States in 1968 from Europe and South America. We brought with us very specialized training in mechanical automotive and engineering. Looking back, the most important thing we brought with us was a tireless work ethic to deliver a quality job. This is what helped us and made us successful. We worked from small garages early on. Our goal back then was to work as hard as we could to bring these talents to the Boston area and have made the effort to build our own garage. We came here like so many have before us, in search of the American Dream. Fortunately, our efforts paid off. In 1973, those dreams were realized here in Norwood, MA. Our idea was to deliver something very special to the area that had not been seen before in the automotive industry. We wanted to build a specialized, and customized automotive service facility designed specifically for imported cars. Here La Plata Motors was born. In almost 34 years of business, we feel privileged to have worked with thousands of customers and service a wide-variety of imported cars from Ferraris and Mercedes to VW and Toyotas. In that time, we have paid attention to you, the customer, and focused on the quality of the job and making sure that you are happy with the result we deliver. As we enter our 34th year of business, we would like to say thanks for your support over the years as we continue our commitment to you to deliver quality service and maintenance of your vehicles.
